Kempinski’s forthcoming marina-fronting hotel in the Republic of the Congo has won our Project of the Week title for its striking design and array of luxury amenities.

Landscaped gardens, wellness facilities and accommodation designed to make the most of its river views set this forthcoming hotel apart from the crowd.

Waterfront luxury

Expected to reach completion in the second quarter of 2022, Kempinski Hotel Brazzaville is bringing five-star luxury to the capital of the Republic of the Congo’s waterfront.

With help from contractor MBTP, Kempinski is developing a newbuild lifestyle hotel where guestrooms can look out over the river through a glass-filled façade. Dewan Architects is overseeing the property’s distinctive architecture and Intercon is designing the plush interiors.

Altogether, the vast property will cover an area of 38,000 sq m.

A new lifestyle retreat

Kempinski Hotel Brazzaville will house 225 guestrooms and suites with warm contemporary interiors and floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening out onto overhanging balconies.

Overall, the layout is designed to optimise the waterfront experience, helped by the inclusion of a lower podium adjoining the hotel’s main building that overlooks the marina. This podium is home to various leisure facilities, including a health club with gym, a spa, outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts.

The hotel will also feature a dedicated conference centre, a kids’ club, and food and drink outlets that are set on the riverfront and surrounded by landscaped gardens, plus an onsite casino and nightclub.
