A new Four Seasons hotel is to be housed in Jeddah Tower, the soon-to-be tallest building in the world.

A Saudi Arabian prince has signed a deal with Four Seasons and the hotly anticipated Jeddah Tower to situate the new hotel inside the skyscraper, which will soon bear the distinction of being crowned the world’s highest building.

We find out more about this dizzying project.

New heights in Saudi Arabia

Since 2013, talk has swirled about the Kingdom Tower, a skyscraper in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah that will rival its Dubai counterpart, the Burj Khalifa, for the title of the tallest building in the world.

Over the last seven years, as construction has gotten underway and more details have emerged about its development, the skyscraper has become known as the Jeddah Tower and will house several different elements, the most notable of which are a Four Seasons hotel and Four Seasons serviced residences.

This 200-key venue will be inside the tower, following a deal signed way back when this project first got underway, between Prince Al Waleed bin Talal, the chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, and the Four Seasons hotel group. The hotel is slated to open at the beginning of 2021, and construction on the tower is already well underway.

A neighbourhood in the Kingdom

Jeddah Tower will be the centrepiece to a new neighbourhood in the city of Jeddah. The skyscraper will be the highest landmark in the newly developed Kingdom City, as well as in all of Saudi Arabia, and the world.

Spread over a radial area of 5.2 square kilometres, Kingdom City will be located along the Red Coast and is already under construction. Four Seasons has been attached to the tower since its inception, and this signature property is sure to become one of the brand’s most coveted in the Middle East when it opens.

The hotel will appeal to business and leisure guests alike. It will offer panoramic views of the surrounding city and coast and provide ample meeting facilities for corporate guests wishing to organise events for clients.

Four Seasons is a Canadian-based company that manages an international portfolio of luxury five-star hotels and resorts.
