The first InterContinental hotel in the Pacific Northwest, InterContinental Bellevue at The Avenue garners our Project of the Week title.
This luxury property in Bellevue, Washington is a part of the two-tower, mixed-use Avenue Bellevue development.
A new social hub
Currently under construction, the new-build InterContinental Bellevue at The Avenue is expected to reach completion in the third quarter of 2022.
The five-star property is being developed by Fortress Development and managed by Benchmark Hospitality International.
Weber Thompson, Hirsch Bedner Associates and Collins Woerman are behind this property’s architectural design and Hirsch Bedner Associates is designing the hotel’s interiors.
In addition to this InterContinental hotel, the overall development will comprise 85,000 sq ft of high-end retail, food and nightlife venues, including the seafood-focused restaurant Angler from three-Michelin-star chef Joshua Skenes.
The brand’s signature luxury hospitality
The hotel will occupy the first 11 storeys of the development’s 26-storey south tower, with 98 Estate Homes then spanning the floors above and more luxury residences in the 25-storey west tower.
Amenities within the 252-key luxury hotel are to include a restaurant from the team behind Buddakan NYC, two bars, a full-service spa and fitness centre, as well as 14,250 sq ft of meeting and event space including grand and junior ballrooms.
On opening, the property will provide close proximity to the airport and many business and cultural attractions, along with views over Lake Washington and the mountains.
