The upcoming Four Seasons resort, which will span 610 acres of beachfront on the north-east coast of Puerto Rico, has been crowned our latest Project of the Week.

Planned for a Q3 2021 debut, this exclusive retreat will bring together world-class architecture and landscaping, a five-star hotel with 136 rooms, stylish residences and an 18-hole golf course.

Puerto Rico’s new coastal enclave

When Four Seasons Cayo Largo finally opens to the public, it’ll provide a serene escape for residents and guests staying on Puerto Rico’s north-east coast near Fajardo, an area known for its protected natural wilderness spots, offshore marine life and water sports.

Fitting in with its surroundings, the hotel, where more than half of the rooms and suites are to feature private plunge pools, is designed as a low-density, villa-style affair encompassing an array of luxury amenities. Expect to see four restaurants and lounges along with coastal dining terraces, retail set around a market square, two extensive swimming pools, a spa and a fitness centre with lap pool.

Families will be well-catered for with a kids’ centre, a young adults’ centre and two tennis courts as well as a pro shop. Groups will be able to make use of the property’s expansive indoor and outdoor meeting and event space too.

Oceanfront living in a stunning location

The resort’s sensitively designed villas and lifestyle venues will all be tucked into lush tropical gardens, and alongside a sprawling 18-hole coastal golf course, with mangrove preservation efforts helping to protect the surrounding environment. Complementing the hotel, 270 acres of land has been set aside for the creation of approximately 315 for-sale residences, of which 75 are to be Four Seasons-branded.

Developed by RAL for Flagship Services Corporation and DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, the overall property has been designed by Bru Mason Architects. An enticing addition to the Four Seasons portfolio, this exciting new retreat promises to combine the five-star amenities that the luxury hotel company is known for with thoughtful design and a celebration of its verdant oceanfront location.
