A highly anticipated boutique property currently taking shape in the Centennial State, Benson Hotel and Faculty Club has scooped our latest Project of the Week title.
This exciting scheme aims to raise the standard of accommodation available in Colorado’s third largest city, Aurora.
Improving the Fitzsimons Innovation Community campus
With a name that pays tribute to former University of Colorado president Bruce Benson, the Benson Hotel and Faculty Club development forms part of an ambitious vision for the future of the Fitzsimons Innovation Community campus. Currently under construction, the newbuild project’s being developed by AIMCO, with Tryba Architects leading the architectural design.
The developer is hoping to enhance the campus, where thousands can now live, work and play, by introducing facilities that appeal to a diversity of needs.
A growing medical destination
This 106-key hotel will contain a ballroom and other event space, including a rose garden with outdoor seating and a lawn catering for tented events. There’ll also be a full-service restaurant and bar, plus several meeting rooms.
The Faculty Club will then provide dedicated facilities for the medical, educational and research staff at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. Amenities here will include a central bar, conversational spaces and an indoor-outdoor terrace.
Ultimately, Benson Hotel and Faculty Club seeks to contribute to the growth of the Fitzsimons Innovation Community as a vibrant medical destination and health sciences hub. It’s scheduled to launch in Q2 2023.
