Our latest Project of the Week title goes to the Anantara Mina Al Arab beachfront resort, which is taking shape in an eco-sanctuary of Ras Al Khaimah.
This forthcoming resort promising overwater luxury is a part of the new Mina Al Arab development also encompassing its own marina.
A new coastal retreat
Currently under construction and expected to open in the third quarter of 2023, Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort is now taking shape in the luxury Mina Al Arab development on the Arabian Gulf.
The beachfront development will be home to a marina and selection of waterfront cafes and boutiques, as well as the luxury hospitality of this new five-star Anantara property.
Minor Hotel Group is opening this resort in partnership with the developer RAK Properties. Bayaty Architects and Perkins Eastman are collaborating on the architectural design and CD+M Lighting Design Group is behind the illumination design.
The resort’s design takes inspiration from the curves of this region’s landscape, with the environmental focus also comprising initiatives such as a mangrove management plan.
Overwater luxury
On completion, the 174-key resort will host guests in luxurious guest rooms and suites, as well as overwater villas.
The Maldives-style accommodation will be joined by amenities including an overwater signature Thai restaurant, a seafood grill restaurant and a beach and pool bar.
Wellness facilities will span an outdoor swimming pool, Anantara Spa and a health club with a gym, aerobics and yoga studios, as well as squash and tennis courts.
The resort experience is then to be completed by its discovery and eco-learning centre and water sports facilities. Events will be hosted in a 1,200-sq-m ballroom.
From here, guests will be able to explore the shoreline and desert of Ras Al Khaimah through activities such as sailing and riding across the dunes.
