Project in focus: X2 Vibe Halong Bay, Vietnam

Drawing inspiration from the towering limestone pillars dotted around the Unesco World Heritage-listed bay, this impressive newbuild scheme will rise 39 storeys high.

Drawing inspiration from the towering limestone pillars dotted around the Unesco World Heritage-listed bay, this impressive newbuild scheme will rise 39 storeys high.

Designed for both business and leisure travellers, X2 Vibe Halong Bay will feature an impressive array of amenities.

A prime location

Currently under construction, and expected to reach completion in the fourth quarter of 2023, this ambitious development will see Cross Hotels & Resorts expand its presence in Vietnam. The group signed a management agreement for the newbuild project with Halong Bay Hotel Joint Stock Company in 2019.

Benefitting from a prime Halong Bay location, X2 Vibe Halong Bay is less than 60 km from Van Don International Airport and around three hours from the well-connected Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi.

Natural splendour

The new X2 Vibe property will comprise 470 guestrooms, making it one of Halong Bay’s largest internationally branded hotels.

Business travellers will be catered for by the inclusion of abundant meeting and function space, while leisure travellers will no doubt appreciate the addition of a living room lobby concept. There’ll also be an all-day dining restaurant, outdoor pool and fitness centre.

The Ong & Ong-designed scheme promises to provide an appealing option for travellers visiting one of the world’s most spectacular natural landscapes. Halong Bay, which was inscribed on Unesco’s World Heritage list in 1994, features 1,600 limestone islands and islets spread across a vast area of over 1,500 sq m.
