Hilton Worldwide’s Curio Collection is set to welcome another enviable property to its portfolio soon, a spectacular resort in the small Caribbean island of Dominica.

Sunset Homes and Aries Capital have partnered to bring Tranquility Beach Resort Dominica to life. We find out more about this stunning newbuild.

An idyllic Caribbean getaway

In early 2022, Tranquility Beach Resort Dominica is scheduled to open for business. This five-star resort will feature 99 rooms, as well as diverse facilities such as a pool, fitness centre, spa and fine-dining restaurant.

Unquestionably, the property’s most memorable feature will be its dramatic cliff-hanging villas. Built directly into the rock, these accommodations will offer stunning views of the ocean and make residents feel almost as if they are floating over the water.

“When considering properties for the Curio brand, we consider the interesting places travellers want to visit and how they want to experience them,” said Dianna Vaughan, senior vice president brand management, Americas at Hilton, speaking when the hotel giant announced that the resort would join the Curio Collection in 2015. “In that regard, the Tranquility Beach Resort Dominica will be a perfect marriage of a remarkable location with a connection to the identity, people, culture and energy of the area.”

A chance to live the life of luxury

Tranquillity Beach Resort Dominica is part of the country’s Citizenship by Investment programme. In return for making investments into authorised properties of at least US$200,000, the buyer can qualify for full legal citizenship and passports for both themselves and their family. Given the resort’s beautiful design and Dominica’s reputation for stunning landscapes and rich culture, it’s likely to prove a popular investment opportunity.

“Judging by the swift and consistent progress we see at Tranquility Beach Resort, despite the current global uncertainty, it appears that investors’ confidence in this resort’s future remains unshaken,” said Paul Singh, director of London-headquartered government advisory CS Global Partners, in a project update released in July 2020. “Dominica, in general, has a good reputation for being trustworthy. The real estate arm under its Citizenship by Investment Programme is in a league of its own, rooted in ecotourism.”
