Part of a major mixed-use regeneration scheme, Tours Duo Paris MGallery is among the French capital’s most exciting hotel plans.

Part of a major mixed-use regeneration scheme, Tours Duo Paris MGallery is among the French capital’s most exciting hotel plans.

Expected to debut in early 2022, this landmark property brings together an exceptional design and development team.

A landmark urban development

Work on the huge Tours Duo development – comprising adjacent 27- and 39-floor towers – is now underway in the ZAC Paris Rive Gauche district of Paris’ 13th arrondissement. On completion, the mixed-use scheme will incorporate offices, shops, restaurants, a sky bar, an auditorium and a high-rise luxury hotel, plus a garden and tree-lined patio open to the public.

This landmark development ties in with wider plans for the transformation of the area, contributing to the regeneration of a former industrial wasteland.

The creation of a design-led hotel

While the Tours Duo project is being led by Ivanhoé Cambridge, with associate developer Hines and architect Jean Nouvel, the luxury hotel element is being brought to life by Groupe Laurent Taïeb, in partnership with Pascal Donat under the MGallery brand. Showcasing the work of designer Philippe Starck, it’ll occupy the 17th to 27th floors of one tower.

In total, Tours Duo Paris MGallery will comprise 139 rooms and suites, alongside a restaurant and a bar with terrace, offering panoramic views over Paris. Starck is imagining this hotel as ‘an explosive and paradoxical mixture of extreme classical elegance and pure energy from the future’.
