The Westin flag will soon be landing in the Philippines, with the 2022 opening of an exciting new property in Manila.

This upmarket addition to the Filipino capital will introduce locals to one of Marriott International’s most prolific brands.

Westin entering the Philippines

The Westin Manila Sonata Place boasts a prime location for business and leisure travellers on San Miguel Avenue, the main street of the Ortigas Business District in downtown Manila, just 11km from Ninoy Aquino International Airport. A 32-storey hotel will comprise 246 guest rooms and 57 suites, while the 50-storey residential tower it sits alongside will house 344 private residential apartments, ranging from one- and three-bedroom apartments to penthouses.

Just like other assets in Westin’s portfolio, this property will place a lot of focus on wellbeing. Guest rooms will include the Westin Heavenly Bed, the Heavenly Bath experience and an ergonomic work area, and the wider hotel will incorporate the Heavenly Spa by Westin, which features a swimming pool, and the WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio.

The Westin Manila lifestyle

Other guest facilities within the hotel will include a lobby lounge, signature restaurant Seasonal Tastes and specialty F&B venue Tapas Bar and Restaurant. Corporate and celebratory events will be hosted in 14,380 sq ft of event space, encompassing two ballrooms and six meeting rooms.

Meanwhile, owners of the residences here will have access to the hotel’s facilities, along with exclusive amenities like a separate pool, fitness centre and lounge.

Ultimately, The Westin Manila Sonata Place aims to transform the local property landscape by combining a world-class hotel experience with luxury residential living. This impressive newbuild is owned by Robinsons Land Corporation. WV Coscolluela and Associates and SY2 + Associates are behind its architectural design and behind its interior design is FBEYE International.

The scheme’s currently expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2022.
