The luxurious Ritz-Carlton hotel-and-residences development in Jordan’s capital is progressing well ahead of its expected debut in the second quarter of 2021.

Seeking to provide guests with a memorable experience, the new property fuses modern luxury with a taste of Jordanian culture. We take a closer look at what to expect.

A Jordanian-inspired offering

On opening later this year, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Residences Amman will no doubt instantly become one of the most coveted places to stay in Jordan’s capital. Here, the high standards associated with the global brand’s properties will combine with elements celebrating the country’s culture.

Altogether, the newbuild property will comprise 228 guest rooms, including 34 suites, and 90 Ritz-Carlton Residences available for purchase. The hotel’s guest rooms will start at a generous 60 sq m in size and each residence will consist exclusively of master bedrooms.

Visitors will be able to enjoy the property’s indoor swimming pool and make use of the fitness centre and 1,000 sq m boardroom, before eating at its two upscale restaurants. One of these dining venues is to be appealingly situated on the hotel’s rooftop.

Describing his vision for the property, Tareq Derbas, recently named general manager ahead of the opening, said: “Attention to the finer details, meaningful gestures of care and anticipation of guests’ needs have the power to turn a mere house into a home and an ordinary hotel stay into a memorable experience. Guided by these principles, The Ritz-Carlton in Amman promises to deliver curated and highly bespoke services to every guest, every time.”

Amman’s new lifestyle destination

The collection of residences, which includes two penthouses, comprises one- to four-bedroom apartments. Residents here will have full use of the hotel’s abundant amenities, along with access to an Owners Lounge.

Other entertainment facilities for residents’ use include a cinema and gaming room for children. Ensuring homeowners have all the amenities they need, The Residences will incorporate a convenience store and beauty salon, while the lobby will come with an ATM, and a designated parking area will feature electric-car-charging stations.

Marriott International is bringing the project to life in partnership with Al Eqbal Real Estate Development. WATG and Wimberly Interiors, Dar Al Handasah and Soura Madani House of Design are working on the architectural design and interiors.
