Project in focus: The Bight by Dream Hotel Group, Turks and Caicos
Endeavouring to set a new benchmark for hospitality in Turks and Caicos, this boutique hotel promises to pair authentic experiences with contemporary amenities and service.
Hotel brand and management company Dream Hotel Group aims to open this stunning 90-key property in Q1 2022. We delve into the plan to develop a prime spot in the Bight neighbourhood of Grace Bay Beach.
A new coastal hideaway in Turks and Caicos
Upon completion, The Bight by Dream Hotel Group will boast 90 guest rooms and suites in total. The scheme, which is being designed by SWA Architects, will be located within seven acres of botanical gardens where rooms command unobstructed ocean views.
A beachfront cafe, garden-to-table restaurant and rum distillery will feature among the hotel’s F&B venues, along with 140-seat event space The Barn, where guests will be able to enjoy gatherings, film screenings and art shows.
On the wellness side, the hotel will comprise a state-of-the-art health and wellness centre featuring an x-fit gym, a yoga studio and a spa, plus two inviting pools. As well as having convenient access to Grace Bay Beach, guests staying here will be able to take advantage of complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas and toys.
A world-class beach destination
Turks and Caicos is a coveted destination for travellers to the Caribbean and Grace Bay Beach is widely considered one of the islands’ hallmarks. In recent years, this coastal spot has been named ‘World’s Leading Beach Destination’ by the World Travel Awards and voted ‘World’s Best Beach’ by TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards.
To introduce guests to these surroundings, the hotel will provide off-the-beaten-path island excursions, giving them a taste of authentic local life.
The hotel’s developer EA Group has led the creation of hospitality and real estate projects in Turks and Caicos for over 25 years. At this property, its knowledge of the local market and culture will combine with a vision to bring something genuinely new to the region.
Interestingly, the scheme will feature 68 units available for sale by Turks & Caicos Sotheby’s International Realty. This option gives buyers the chance to own part of a one-of-a-kind development, enjoy the amenities of a By Dream Hotel Group property and benefit from a share of the hotel guest revenues generated by their unit.
