A new eight-storey aparthotel designed by HPP Architects is now taking shape within the Gateway Gardens commercial district at Frankfurt Airport.

Slated for completion in the first quarter of 2022, this 269-key property will bring a fresh accommodation option to Germany’s largest airport.

Environmentally conscious design

The forthcoming Staycity Aparthotel Frankfurt Gateway Gardens will occupy a 2,444 sq m plot at the city’s airport. This newbuild project, part of the Gateway Gardens scheme, signifies the continued international expansion of Dublin-based aparthotel operator Staycity Group.

The development is a joint venture between OFB and Groß & Partner, with design coming courtesy of HPP Architects, and is set to receive a LEED gold certification for its environmentally conscious design.

A significant newbuild hospitality scheme

It’s expected that the eight-storey aparthotel will comprise 267 guestrooms in total. Hogan Lovells and Kucera advised on the contract for this brand-new property.

Staycity’s properties typically comprise studios as well as one- and two-bedroom apartments, which all have kitchens or kitchenettes, sitting and dining areas, bathrooms and amenities such as flat-screen TVs. They also offer 24-hour receptions, complimentary wifi, laundry facilities and weekly housekeeping, while most sites boast a guest lounge and café too.
