We examine a scheme conceptualised by Arab Engineering Bureau to create two landmark towers in Lusail City, showcasing a design aesthetic inspired by local coral formations.

One of the Middle East’s most ambitious developments, the Rosewood Doha and Rosewood Residences Doha project will help put Lusail City on the map.

Striking architectural design

Currently planned for debut in the third quarter of 2022, this Rosewood hotel-and-residences scheme is now under construction in Lusail City, north of Doha.

Created in partnership with Arkaz Investment, Rosewood Hotel Group’s latest ultra-luxury outpost is set to stand out for its striking architecture, which takes inspiration from underwater forms such as the local coral formations. This eye-catching design, which was conceptualised by a team from Arab Engineering Bureau, is intended to respect the surrounding environment and reference the Arabian Gulf, while promoting harmony between human habitation and the natural world.

Rosewood Doha and Rosewood Residences Doha will be housed within two towers, incorporating 185 luxurious guestrooms and suites, 173 serviced apartments for longer stays and 300 residences for purchase.

An unrivalled F&B programme

The lavish new hotel will encompass eight culinary outlets including a lobby lounge, bistro, coffee shop and deli, cigar lounge, lifestyle entertainment lounge and three specialty restaurants.

This impressive culinary offering will be joined by Sense, a Rosewood Spa, integrating a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and a 1,500 sq m ballroom, pairing sleek interiors with the latest technology. In addition, the hotel’s executive lounge, Manor Club, will provide Club Room and Suite guests with carefully curated services.

Rosewood Residences Doha, meanwhile, promises to deliver the pinnacle of luxury living in Qatar, with a range of bespoke amenities and services included in the residential experience.

The scheme is located within the US$45 billion Lusail City development, which spans 38 sq km and comprises four islands and 19 districts.
