This Residence Inn by Marriott hotel is one of two Marriott International-branded properties currently coming to fruition in Copenhagen’s new dockland district, Nordhavn.

Now under construction alongside Fairfield Inn by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn, Residence Inn by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn promises to provide a home away from home for guests with its apartment-style accommodation.

A sustainable development

Slated for completion in the first quarter of 2023, Residence Inn by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn will place guests in the waterfront Nordø development of the city’s North Harbour district. Marriott International is working in partnership with hotel operator Core Hospitality and owner PFA Properties to create a property that helps meet the strong demand for longer stay accommodation in the area.

Sustainability is a major focus for the property, with developers endeavouring to achieve DGNB Gold certification for the building and Green Key certification for its operations. Henning Larsen Architects is leading the architectural design of this environmentally friendly project.

Designed for longer stays

Aiming to cater for both business and leisure travellers, the hotel will encompass 95 apartment-style suites, with separate areas for living, working and sleeping. Each unit will boast a dedicated workspace, a kitchen, and either ocean or courtyard views.

Additional facilities throughout the property will include a private lounge and fitness facilities, while guests will be able to take advantage of a bicycle-rental service throughout their stay.

The property’s location in the transformed North Harbour means guests will have access to abundant amenities, including restaurants, cafés and shops, as well as the Konditaget Lüders recreational space and Sandkaj bathing zone. Moreover, most of Copenhagen’s embassies are within walking distance of this area, which benefits from excellent transport links to the city centre and international airport.
