This stylish new Mövenpick property promises to be the focal point of an upscale mixed-use development adjoining The Centaurus Mall in Pakistan’s capital.
In its prime location at the heart of the city’s business district, this will be the closest internationally branded hotel to Benazeer Bhutto and Islamabad international airports.
A prime setting in Islamabad
Planned for completion in the fourth quarter of 2022, Mövenpick Hotel Centaurus Islamabad is the result of a collaboration between Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts and developer PAK Gulf Construction.
Mövenpick originally signed a deal to manage the upscale property in 2015, supporting its Pakistan expansion strategy. The consultancy firm Equinox Hospitality Group played a key role in developing the owner-operator partnership.
As part of the Centaurus mixed-use development, the hotel will be located opposite the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, around 1 km from the Islamabad Stock Exchange and less than 4 km from Islamabad’s parliamentary and embassy district. The property aims to cater for outside visitors as well as hotel guests through its dining and event space offering.
Designed for business and leisure
The under-construction hotel is being brought to life by architect and interior designer Atkins. On completion, the property will comprise 361 guestrooms.
Among the extensive amenities promised are five restaurants, separate male and female wellness facilities, and a swimming pool. Meanwhile, its expansive meeting and event facilities will include several meeting rooms, a business centre and a ballroom.
Mövenpick’s property will be the only hotel in this upscale development. The adjoining Centaurus Mall is one of Pakistan’s most successful shopping centres, standing out as a design-led landmark on the main thoroughfare, Jinnah Avenue.
