Project in focus: Meliá Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam
by Lauren Jade Hill | 21 Apr 2021 | Hotel Projects, Projects
Meliá Hotels International is set to debut a new resort, featuring a wedding chapel with direct beach access, in Cam Ranh Bay in southern Vietnam later this year.
On opening, the property aims to capture a significant share of both the Cam Ranh Bay and Nha Trang travel markets.
Meliá’s expansion in Vietnam
In partnership with Saigon – Cam Ranh Joint Stock Group, Spanish hotel group Meliá Hotels International is developing its latest Meliá-branded hotel in Vietnam, following on from the likes of Meliá Hanoi, Meliá Danang and Meliá Ho Tram.
Descon is behind this newbuild resort’s architecture, while both Alvaro Sans Arquitectura Hotelera and Design Lab are coming up with the property’s interiors. In its prime position on the south-eastern coast of Vietnam, the scheme lies just 5 km away from Cam Ranh Bay International Airport – nearby attractions include Binh Ba Island and Tu Van Pagoda.
A coastal lifestyle retreat
Meliá Cam Ranh Bay will contain 305 keys in total, including around 100 villas ranging between 240 and 400 sq m in size. Its guestrooms will all come with sea views and the villas will incorporate private infinity pools.
Among the other facilities earmarked for the complex are the Meliá brand’s signature YHI Spa, three dining venues ranging from casual to fine dining, and a wedding chapel with direct beach access.
The scheme is currently expected to make its debut in the fourth quarter of 2021.
