Project in focus: JW Marriott Hotel Ho Chi Minh City Grand Marina
by Lauren Jade Hill | 12 Aug 2021 | Hotel Projects, Projects
Part of Marriott International’s dual-branded residential-and-officetel development in the Vietnamese capital, the luxury flag’s latest offering is expected to launch in 2024.
JW Marriott Hotel Ho Chi Minh City Grand Marina will form a key part of an integrated mixed-use complex comprising residential, office and commercial elements.
A milestone development
In January 2021, Marriott International revealed that it had reached agreement with Vietnam-based real estate firm Masterise Homes to create a dual-branded project in Ho Chi Minh City. At the time, Savills International Development Consultancy identified this ambitious project, encompassing almost 4,200 new residential and officetel units, as the largest hotel-branded residential project announced to date worldwide.
The wider project will comprise branded residential and officetel units from two Marriott International brands, namely JW Marriott and Marriott.
A mixed-use community hub
This development is intended to meet the growing interest in mixed-use communities with on-demand amenities and services. Those staying here will be able to access an array of facilities, including hotel-quality amenities as well as services.
The officetel units will be designed in a similar style to the residential ones, and feature both commercial and residential components.
JW Marriott Hotel Ho Chi Minh City Grand Marina’s architecture will be overseen by Atkins, with AB Concept and HBA looking after the interiors. The project is currently expected to reach completion in late 2024.
