A design hotel for music lovers that boasts its very own record studio, Jaz in the City Dubai promises to bring something new to Dubai’s old quarter.

Set to take shape right next to Dubai’s historic souks and within the vicinity of Dubai Creek, this distinctive hotel is hoping to open in the third quarter of 2022.

A unique hotel concept

Jaz in the City Dubai is being designed by architectural practice AE7, while Destination Hotels will be the hotel’s management company. When announcing the scheme in August 2019, Deutsche Hospitality revealed that the project is being realised in collaboration with the Investment Corporation of Dubai.

The hotel concept aims to make music lovers feel right at home by incorporating live acts, a record studio, and a range of sociable drinking and dining options. In addition, a soul-food restaurant, a top-end rooftop bar, a fitness centre, a swimming pool and

three multifunctional conference rooms are being planned.

Of the hotel’s 253 guestrooms, 234 will sit within the In Tune, or standard, category. These will then be joined by 13 junior suites known as Bass Rooms and six one-bedroom suites named Offbeat Rooms.

A lifestyle hub for travellers and locals

The hotel will no doubt stand out most thanks to its one-of-a-kind hospitality concept, marrying a unique local cultural scene with an international clientele seeking a music-inspired lifestyle experience.

The site earmarked for development is located within the historic Deira quarter. From here, both the international airport and Dubai World Central Airport are easily accessible.

The 2022-opening property will further expand a vibrant lifestyle brand that first came to fruition in 2015 with the opening of Jaz in the City Amsterdam.
