Project in focus: Hyatt Place Saigon Phu Nhuan
by Lauren Jade Hill | 13 Feb 2021 | Hotel Projects, Projects
On opening in 2022, Hyatt Place Saigon Phu Nhuan will become the first member of the fast-growing Hyatt Place brand in Vietnam.
Hyatt Place Saigon Phu Nhuan, located in the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, will provide a convenient base for business and leisure travellers who want to be close to the action in one of South-East Asia’s most popular destinations.
The Hyatt Place brand’s entry to Vietnam
In partnership with Benthanh Group, Hyatt Hotels Corporation is progressing plans to develop Vietnam’s first Hyatt Place hotel on a prominent site within the city’s Phu Nhuan district. This central location is just 2 km from Tan Son Nhat International Airport and 5 km from the Central Business District.
Speaking when the project was first announced in March 2019, Ben Thanh Holdings chairman and chief executive officer Tri Cao Nguyen said: “Hyatt Place Saigon Phu Nhuan’s close proximity to dynamic business zones and local attractions will help position it as the choice accommodation for value-conscious business professionals and leisure travellers. We are excited to collaborate with Hyatt and tap on its wealth of experience in hospitality to introduce guests to Hyatt’s first select-service hotel in Vietnam.”

A base for business and leisure
Altogether, the hotel will house 200 guest rooms, along with a lobby lounge, a café, a bar, a grab-and-go food market, a fitness centre, an outdoor pool and more than 255 sq m of meeting rooms. Each element of the scheme will reflect the intuitive design that the Hyatt Place brand is known for; Vietnam-based design firm Duong Dai Architects has been tasked with creating an architectural concept that successfully realises this vision.
Hyatt Place Saigon Phu Nhuan is hoping to debut in the first quarter of 2022.
