Australian hospitality group TFE Hotels will introduce its flagship Adina Hotels brand to Switzerland by opening a 140-key scheme within a major new mixed-use development.

Adina Apartment Hotel Geneva will form a key part of the Quartier de L’Étang precinct in one of Switzerland’s largest cities.

A significant development for Adina

Expected to reach completion in the first quarter of 2022, the under-construction Adina Apartment Hotel Geneva is a collaboration between developer Urban Project and management company Adina Apartment & Hotels, which is working with the owner, the Republic and Canton of Geneva.

Architectural practice Groupe H is coming up with the design of the property, which is to comprise 140 spacious one-bedroom, two-bedroom and studio apartment-style guestrooms, many with striking alpine views.

The exciting scheme is located within the 11-hectare lifestyle precinct Quartier de L’Étang; at the time that the hotel was announced in October 2019, this precinct was the largest private real-estate investment in Switzerland. Quartier de L’Étang will eventually be home to three hotels, including Adina Apartment Hotel Geneva, along with retail space, offices, a conference centre and a medical centre, plus sports facilities, a school and residential units.

Boosting Geneva’s hospitality scene

The Adina Hotels outpost’s leisure facilities will include fitness and wellness areas as well as a restaurant. A 24-hour reception will add to the convenience, while a public multistorey car park will be available for guest use.

Overall, the hotel aims to embody Adina Hotels’ concept of combining the service of a premium hotel with home comforts.

As part of the Quartier de L’Étang development, the hotel will be conveniently located on the transport axis between the airport, exhibition centre and Geneva city centre. The hotel promises to combine this sought-after location with contemporary design and generously sized apartment-style accommodation, catering for a variety of guests from solo and business travellers to couples and families.
