Hilton Worldwide has signed an agreement with Societe Marhaba Beach to open a 332-key property, Hilton Skanes Monastir Beach Resort, in Tunisia.
The upper-upscale scheme by Hilton Hotels & Resorts will be part of the Palm Lake Monastir retail, entertainment and residential development on the Tunisian coast.

On opening, Hilton Skanes Monastir Beach Resort will offer premier accommodation with views across the Gulf of Hammamet in a location that’s within easy reach of Monastir and Sousse.

A Tunisian coastal retreat
The complex will have 332 guest rooms and suites set amid landscaped gardens, complete with uninterrupted Mediterranean views. As well as being able to access the resort’s private beach, guests will have use of two outdoor pools, a spa and wellness centre with indoor pool, fitness facilities, tennis courts and a kid’s club.
As many as eight restaurants and bars will make up the property’s F&B offering, including two specialty restaurants, an all-day dining venue, a specialty bar, a pool bar and two cafe lounges. On top of this, the hotel will have over 700 sq m of event space for business and social occasions.
The new resort will be just two kilometres from Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport, which offers seasonal flights to a number of countries across Europe. Hilton is also currently developing two properties in the country’s capital Tunis for its DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Hotels & Resorts brands.
