A look at the numbers
Palladium Hotel Group has recently announced that it has begun construction to expand Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts in Jamaica, Montego Bay. The $20 million project plans to add 948 new rooms to the resort, bringing the total number to 1,997. Currently, there are 1,049 rooms across two hotels: Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa and Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa.
This expansion will strengthen the brand’s footprint in Jamaica, introducing TRS Hotels, an adults-only, all-inclusive brand. The project will also create 1,500 direct jobs and 2,000 indirect jobs in industry-related sectors once expanded portions of the resort are operational.

Historical presence and commitment to Jamaica
Palladium Hotel Group has been an important hotel industry player in Jamaica since 2008, with the openings of Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa and Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa, both of which are in Lucea, Hanover. These resorts have undoubtedly set the bar for all-inclusive luxury in the region. The $20 million investment in the property emphasizes Palladium Hotel Group’s commitment to Jamaica’s tourism development and economic prosperity. The project includes upgrading amenities and implementing new sustainability features.
Groundbreaking marks new luxury additions
As part of its expansion plan, Palladium Hotel Group will introduce TRS Hotels—currently available in the most picturesque destinations in the Caribbean and Europe. This brand is aimed at couples, newlyweds, and solo travelers. Simply put, it’s aimed at everyone and anyone who seeks a modern and sophisticated experience.
Also included in this vast expansion is the introduction of the VIP club Family Selection. This club offers a range of exclusive amenities and personalized experiences for families, including dedicated spaces and premium services that are tailored to enhance every stay.
Details of this project were announced at a groundbreaking ceremony in February. The event was attended by Prime Minister Andrew Holness, Spanish Ambassador José María Fernández López, and Abel Matutes, Vice-President of Grupo Empresas Matutes and President of Palladium Hotel Group.
