Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has appointed Manzur to direct and manage its iconic Antara Villa Padierna Palace Resort.
This posting is a prestigious one within the company since the location is the brand’s first in Spain.
Manzur will bring more than 20 years of international hospitality experience to the role. His vast knowledge and versatile skill set make him an excellent choice for such a high-profile position.
Meet Jorge Manzur
Manzur has experience both in the international hospitality sector as well as within Spain.
He began his career in hospitality as director of marketing and sales for hotels in Mexico. In 1997, Manzur moved to Marbella, and over the course of two decades, he served in various roles for international hotel companies such as Le Méridien, InterContinental or Meliá Hotels International. More recently, Manzur spent more than five years as the general manager of Puente Romano Beach Resort, where he was responsible for one of the most storied hotels Spain’s southern coast.
“It is an honour to be part of this team, a true example of enthusiasm and commitment,” Manzur said in a statement in Spanish.
“From day one we are working to design the most authentic experiences that will surprise our customers. This is Anantara’s innate value, offering heartfelt service, based on hospitality and in line with the philosophy of creating unforgettable moments and experiences for our guests. In this sense, we have integrated the tradition and authenticity of Andalusia, making the resort a destination where guests discover the best of the cuisine, culture and customs of the region.”
A skilled team
Manzur will work toward maintaining the hotel’s high level of excellence with the help of a skilled team. The goal is to establish the first Anantara hotel in Spain, introducing its unique concept to the country.
Joining Manzur in this will be Eduardo Seisdedos, who brings more than 15 years of luxury hotel experience. Most recently, Seisdedos worked in sales and marketing at the Marbella Club. Now, he will be filling the role of deputy director and head of sales and marketing for the new Anantara-branded property.
