Omni unveils $520m PGA Frisco resort

Omni PGA Frisco Resort has debuted as a one-stop destination for leisure, dining, wellness, entertainment and golf in the city of Frisco in Texas.

This major destination from Omni Hotels & Resorts caters for guests of all ages in a space spanning an impressive 660 acres.

A new golfing destination

The highly anticipated Omni PGA Frisco Resort is now welcoming guests to experience its wealth of facilities, which include two championship golf courses designed by acclaimed architects Gil Hanse and Beau Welling.

The array of amenities, from its 500 rooms and suites and 10 four-bedroom Ranch Houses to 13 restaurant and bar concepts, four pools, retail, entertainment and Mokara Spa, sits against the breathtaking backdrop of Fields Ranch.

“This first-of-its-kind resort marks an exciting milestone for Omni Hotels & Resorts,” said Jeff Smith, Vice President and Managing Director, Omni PGA Frisco Resort. “It’s an ambitious concept where we get to showcase the best of Texas while casting a spotlight on Frisco as a unique destination experience for visitors and locals alike.”

Omni Hotels & Resorts’ President, Kurt Alexander, commented: “Omni PGA Frisco Resort really embodies where we are going as a brand and how we can meet all of the needs of our guests. Our goal was to capture the authentic spirit of a modern Texas ranch and bring it to life through extraordinary design, inspired food and beverage concepts, and warm, approachable service. This new flagship does exactly that.”

A reflection of the locale

The interiors of this resort have been designed by the award-winning design studio Jeffrey Beers International to reflect Omni’s Texas heritage while also integrating subtle nods to golfing.

The resort’s rooms and suites offer a homely, tranquil retreat with design details like traditional tartan prints and emerald-green tufted headboards. The 10 luxury Ranch Houses are set among the greens and come with fully customisable VIP services.

The property’s 13 restaurant and bar concepts, led by executive chefs Josh Hasho and Adam Solowitz, then range from the signature restaurant, Trick Rider, paying homage to rodeo stars and Texan culture, to the all-day dining Apron Kitchen + Bar, The Lookout lobby bar, Toast & Tee coffee shop, Bluestem poolside bars, a spa cafe and the Green Cactus Cafe.

The Monument Realty PGA District acts as a destination in itself with the Ice House communal beer garden and standalone clubhouse Ryder Cup Grille, as well as Margaret’s Cones & Cups for coffee and artisanal ice cream.

The site’s two championship golf courses are joined by a lighted 10-hole short course and two-acre putting course, the Lounge by Topgolf dining and simulation experience and the state-of-the-art PGA Coaching Center.

Events are hosted in 127,000-square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space including the 22,000-sq-ft Ryder Cup Ballroom, 11,500-sq-ft Wanamaker Ballroom and 5,000-sq-ft Panther Creek Pavilion.

SB Architects designed Omni PGA Frisco Resort in collaboration with design partners Robert Glazier, interior designer Jeffrey Beers International and general contractor Brasfield & Gorrie. SB Architects was tasked with developing a destination resort of a residential scale. Jeffrey Beers International then designed the resort’s interiors to reflect Omni’s Texas heritage while also integrating subtle nods to golfing.
