The forthcoming property, with an opening date yet to be announced, will connect guests with the rich history and vibrant food scene of this city.

Entry to Portugal

The lifestyle brand of chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, Nobu Hospitality, is now set to enter Portugal with the planned launch of its Lisbon hotel and restaurant.

This opening will mark a significant milestone in the hospitality group’s overall global expansion plans. This Lisbon launch is the first stage of the group’s plans for expansion into Portugal.

Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality commented: “We are thrilled to be opening our first hotel and restaurant in Portugal, and it is fitting that Lisbon is our first venture into the destination.”

“With its rich history, vibrant food scene, and impressive neoclassical architecture, Lisbon is the ideal destination for our brand. We look forward to bringing the Nobu brand to Lisbon as part of our Portugal growth strategy.”

A prime location

On opening, the new property will place guests at the heart of Lisbon on the famed Avenida da Liberdade. From here, guests will have easy access to a wealth of landmarks, restaurants and upscale retail outlets.

With the city’s Baixa district, the Chiado neighbourhood and São Jorge Castle all just a short walk away, the hotel will provide the ideal base for exploration of Lisbon.

Here, the guest experience will be defined by the group’s signature blend of luxury hospitality, culinary innovation and immersive experiences that connect you to the area.
