Nobu Hospitality will open five new hotels in 2023, including Rome, Marrakech, Atlantic City, San Sebastián and Toronto.

With recent announcements of Bangkok and Abu Dhabi, the 32nd property to join the portfolio, the brand continues to grow globally with a strong development pipeline.

Decade milestone

This year marks Nobu Hotels’ 10th anniversary following the opening of Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in 2013. Each of the existing 32 hotel destinations have been selected based on the success of a Nobu restaurant, to reach 60 restaurants worldwide this year.

With the concept of Kokoro – the Japanese word for heartfelt – tying the portfolio together, Nobu believes it has continued to maintain a strong family-feel over the last decade, fuelling its continued expansion.

Residence moves

2023 will also welcome the brand’s first luxury residences in Toronto and Los Cabos. With six other residential projects in the pipeline, including Al Khobar, Danang, Abu Dhabi, Tulum, Orlando, and Punta Cana – Nobu is positioning itself within the luxury lifestyle sphere by offering an exclusive curated experience for buyers.

The residences will encompass purposeful design, elevated amenities including Nobu dining and room service for its residents and access to the surrounding area through a dedicated team.

Africa and Europe additions

Nobu’s 2023 is beginning with the imminent opening of Nobu Hotel Marrakech, its first hotel venture into Africa. Near the Moroccan city’s cultural epicentre, the luxury lifestyle destination will come complete with 71 suites, a rooftop lounge and restaurant, a 2,000 sq. ft spa and fitness centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and the first Nobu restaurant in Marrakech.

Across the other side of the Mediterranean Sea, Nobu Hotel San Sebastián is scheduled to open in Spain in July 2023. Overlooking La Concha Bay, the luxury property will feature 20 guestrooms and suites and a 98-seat Nobu restaurant offering panoramic water and city views.

The summer will also see the arrival of Nobu Hotel Roma in the Italian capital. A project is underway here to transform the luxurious Grand Hotel into a Nobu Hotel and Restaurant. The hotel will house 116 guestrooms and suites, a green-rooftop terrace, a full-service city spa, a Nobu restaurant offering 24-hour in-room dining, and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.

Americas openings

Over in the Americas, Nobu’s 2023 slate will begin with the March opening of Nobu Residences Los Cabos next to Nobu Hotel Los Cabos in the popular Mexican tourist destination. The addition to this resort will comprise 60 residences, exclusive restaurants, and special amenities.

In spring, Nobu Hotel Atlantic City will debut in the US east coast hub. Further strengthening the partnership between Nobu Hospitality and Caesars Entertainment, the site will launch within Caesars Atlantic City as part of Caesars’ $400 million investment.

Finally in autumn, Nobu Hotel & Residences Toronto will open in the heart of the Canadian city’s entertainment district. The two tower development will  rise 45 stories above the city with 658 residential units, 36 hotel suites, and a Nobu restaurant on the ground floor. On the site of the historic Pilkington Glass Factory the Nobu Hotel Toronto will be positioned at the top of the west tower and offer guests panoramic views of the Toronto skyline.
