With help from the likes of Ciarmoli Queda Studio and Tristan Plessis Studio, Hyde Hotels, Resorts & Residences plans to launch its first hotel outside the US in Dubai Business Bay.

The five-star Hyde Dubai Business Bay is expected to make its debut in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Entry to Dubai

In its privileged location fronting Dubai Business Bay’s canal and promenade, the new hotel will place guests near the iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. The exciting scheme is being developed in partnership with the owner, Emerald Palace Group, which is best known for developing and constructing residential projects across Ukraine, the UAE and Russia.

Hyde Hotels, Resorts & Residences’ announcement follows on from Accor’s acquisition of SBE’s hotel brands and joint venture with Ennismore. This Dubai property will be the fifth overall for the Hyde brand.

“We couldn’t be happier to be working with Emerald Palace Group on bringing the Hyde brand to Dubai Business Bay and we want to thank Dr Nver Mkhitaryan for the support in developing the property,” said Chadi Farhat, chief operating officer of SBE.

“This opening is a testament of our continued international growth, and in particular, after the incredible success of SLS Dubai, Hyde Dubai Business Bay will continue to bring additional lifestyle experiences to one of the most vibrant destinations in the world. We will be bringing some of our most well-known concepts to the property with Katsuya, Cleo, and Hudson Tavern.”

Dr Mkhitaryan, owner of EPG Group, added: “We are delighted to partner with Accor to establish the first Hyde hotel in the UAE.

“No expense is being spared in the construction and decor, and we are confident that our guests will appreciate the attention that’s been paid to every last detail. This is an exciting project for our company and its development further expands and complements EPG’s portfolio of hotels and residences.”

Global gastronomy and city views

Hyde Hotel Dubai Business Bay will house 276 guestrooms with balconies, including luxurious suites offering views of the skyline, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Canal.

The culinary experiences here are to include Mediterranean dining spot Cleo; contemporary Japanese restaurant Katsuya; and Hudson Tavern, offering handcrafted burgers. These will be joined by The Perq coffee concept and a lobby lounge.

Other facilities in the hotel will include the Hyde pool and lounge, a spa, a salon, a swimming pool and a fitness centre, as well as five meeting rooms, a function hall and a retail area. Ciarmoli Queda Studio is designing the hotel’s guestrooms, public areas and Cleo, while Tristan Plessis Studio is overseeing Katsuya, Hudson Tavern and the Hyde pool and lounge.
