This new hotel is housed within two historically significant buildings, the New Student House and Hotel Seurahuone, known for being at the heart of Finnish culture since the early 20th century.
A storied site
NH Collection’s first hotel in Finland, and its second in the Nordics, the May-opened NH Collection Helsinki Grand Hansa hotel takes over the 1910-built Art Nouveau-style New Student House and Helsinki’s oldest continuously operated hotel, Seurahuone, which was established on the market square in 1833 and moved to this site in 1913.
Now, after a restoration and renovation of the heritage site, the building continues its legacy as the first NH Collection hotel in Finland.
The milestone hotel is centrally located, within easy walking distance of many restaurants, shops, museums and cultural experiences in the Finnish capital.
A new social venue
The hotel houses 224 guest rooms and suites, including an expansive Presidential Suite, with all the comforts and modern luxuries you could need.
Within the hotel, guests can dine at Hansa Café Bar & Brasserie, which specialises in classic French cuisine using sustainably sourced local ingredients. In August, this restaurant will be joined by Kupoli cocktail bar, located in the historic dome-shaped tower, with 360-degree views over the city.
Other amenities at the property include a spa preserving Finnish wellness traditions, with facilities including a Finnish sauna, and more than 7,534 sq ft of event space including nine flexible meeting rooms and a historic ballroom.
