NEWH announces interior design winners for 2017
NEWH, The Hospitality Industry Network, has announced its list of top interior designers for 2017.
The NEWH Top Interior Designers List recognises design excellence and the winners are chosen by the board of each chapter, who come together to select interior designers who have made a significant contribution to elevating the standards and quality of design in the hospitality industry. Chosen designers are members of NEWH and their inclusion on the winning list means they benefit from promotion across the organisation’s international network of contacts.
The list covers a large swathe of the region, from Arizona, Dallas and Los Angeles to New York, New England and Toronto. Cauhaus Design in Washington DC were chosen for innovative work on a refurbished hotel, the Albany Renaissance, in Albany, New York. The hotel is part of the Marriott International Hotel Group. By preserving much of the building’s existing character and introducing new, modern elements, the firm revitalised the Dutch-style building and gave it a new lease of life. Studio 3877, also based in Washington DC, offer a more contemporary and minimal approach to their designs, and were picked for their simple yet classic interiors for the DC branch of world renowned restaurant Momofuku | Milk Bar. Some hotel chains themselves also featured on NEWH’s list, including Best Western International for the Arizona chapter, and MGM Resorts International for the Las Vegas chapter.
