Hyatt House Columbus/OSU-Short North, managed by First Hospitality, features 152 rooms targeted at extended-stay guests and 2,000 sq ft of flexible meeting space.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has expanded its presence in Ohio with the launch of a well-located property in the state capital Columbus.

A fresh lifestyle offering in Columbus

The new Hyatt House Columbus/OSU-Short North boasts 104 suites and 48 den guestrooms in a prime spot in the OSU-Short North neighbourhood. While staying here, visitors will be able to enjoy convenient access to the Short North Arts District, Victorian Village, The Ohio State University and Ohio Stadium.

General manager Victor Patterson said: “Hyatt House OSU-Short North is a great addition to the dynamic Victorian Village and Short North neighbourhoods, as well as the OSU campus. Now more than ever, travellers demand a safe, comfortable place that feels like home and offers plenty of options for focusing on wellbeing.”

First Hospitality strikes again

Hyatt House Columbus/OSU-Short North is being managed by First Hospitality, its sixth hotel in the Columbus area. The company has named Malia Widder as the property’s sales and marketing director.

The scheme is expected to appeal to a variety of travellers wishing to spend a little longer in Columbus; suites, for example, are decked out with a fully equipped kitchen and distinct zones for relaxing, dining and sleeping. And fitness fanatics can maintain their routine at the state-of-the-art wellness centre, which has an indoor pool and gym equipment.

Other notable facilities include the full-service H-Bar with its own outdoor patio, a grilling area, a fire pit and a bocce ball court.
