Deutsche Hospitality has announced the opening of this hotel within the economy Zleep Hotel portfolio in Køge, Denmark.

Zleep Hotel Køge is now set to undergo a remodelling and modernisation project with its room capacity doubled through the transformation.

An appealing setting

Zleep Hotel is now welcoming its first guests in the Danish seaport of Køge. The hotel is located at the old marina, just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of the town.

The site was built in 1989 in the style of an old warehouse. This property will now benefit from a remodelling project.

“Being an increasingly popular holiday destination, Køge is a very attractive location for Zleep Hotels in Denmark,” said Peter Haaber, CEO of Zleep Hotels A/S.

“By remodelling the hotel, we are creating an attractive new property that at the same time highlights and preserves the historic building in the best possible way.”

Catering for an increased number of travellers

Through the property’s transformation, and in compliance with the district plan, the hotel’s room capacity will be doubled from 50 to 100 rooms. This remodelling work is expected to reach completion by the beginning of 2024.

Køge is located on Køge Bay, around 43km from the capital Copenhagen. Highlights of this location include the picturesque old town, nearby beach and surrounding countryside.

Lene Haslund, hotel manager at Zleep Hotel Køge, commented: “Køge is an amazing destination that I know quite well, and Zleep Hotels is a great product that matches the city’s needs.”

“With its central location, Zleep Hotel Koge is the ideal starting point for travellers of all kinds.”
