Despite the challenges of Covid19, upscale hotel brand Radisson has opened a stylish 143-key newbuild hotel right on the doorstep of one of the busiest airports in the US.

Radisson Hotel Atlanta Airport will serve guests seeking ready access to both Downtown Atlanta and the airport while doing everything possible to ensure they stay safe amid the pandemic. We find out more about this sleek new property.

Radisson flies into ATL

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is now home to a Radisson-branded hotel. Located at 4475 Best Road, College Park, Radisson Hotel Atlanta Airport is already starting to welcome guests to Georgia, which will no doubt help the state recover following a tough start to 2020.

Aly El-Bassuni, chief operating officer, Americas, Radisson Hotel Group, said: “We couldn’t be prouder to open this incredible hotel near one of the busiest airports in the US in partnership with owners who are committed to providing secure and memorable experiences for each and every guest. The opening of this beautiful hotel exemplifies the Radisson brand in action – full of bright, functional and inviting spaces optimised for safety and cleanliness and backed by a caring staff that embraces our Yes I Can! service philosophy.”

Radisson does its bit against coronavirus

The property, which offers a complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle, has begun implementing the Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol programme; its disinfection and cleanliness protocols were created in partnership with inspection, verification, testing and certification company SGS. Radisson Hotel Atlanta Airport’s 143 rooms will benefit from these cleaning policies, as will the over 2,500 sq ft of event space, and the Kina’s restaurant and bar.

“As the only Radisson in the area, we’re looking forward to providing a relaxing stay in a safe and well-balanced environment complete with extra thoughtful services for our guests,” said the hotel’s owner Shereza Tajuddin. “Our guests will enjoy the exclusive, personal experience of a smaller, boutique hotel but with additional space and Radisson’s signature amenities. Plus, our location near the airport will provide a welcoming environment thanks to our multilingual staff and variety of cuisine.”

Radisson Hotel Group has worked hard to enhance procedures across its properties in the light of the pandemic. As recently reported on the TOPHOTELNEWS Covid19 live blog, for example, it has rolled out a ten-step safety protocol to give meeting attendees greater peace of mind while on the road.

According to the TOPHOTELCONSTRUCTION online database, 43 hotel projects are currently in the pipeline in Atlanta:

Radisson Hotel Group is one of the world’s largest hotel groups with several distinctive brands and more than 1,400 properties in operation or under development globally.
