Accor and Georgian development company Archi are collaborating on the creation of the new skyline, 120-key hotel, Mövenpick Kobuleti in Georgia.

A property marking Mövenpick’s entry to Georgia, this new hotel under the Swiss hospitality brand is expected to open in 2028.

Brand debut in Georgia

On opening within the next few years, Mövenpick Kobuleti will introduce the hotel brand’s combination of Swiss hospitality, high-end gastronomy and exciting family offerings to the country.

“We are thrilled to present our premium Swiss brand Mövenpick on the Black Sea coast in Georgia,” said Alexis Delaroff, COO of Accor New East Europe. “Kobuleti is rightfully considered one of the best resorts for a relaxing family holiday. It has a unique combination of the mild subtropical climate, clean well-maintained beaches and ancient architectural monuments, and of course, we couldn’t pass by this destination.”

“We are confident that the new opening will make a significant contribution to the resort’s popularity among international travellers and residents. The tourism market in Georgia is one of the most promising in our region, and Accor aims to take a leading position on it. We are grateful to our partners for their trust and are looking forward to bringing this wonderful project to life.”

A family destination

The hotel will take over several floors of a high-rise building on the eastern Black Sea coast of Georgia. The 120-key resort will feature a gastronomic restaurant, sushi bar and cocktail bar, along with a gym, two swimming pools and a wellness centre.

Benefits of the service here include the Mövenpick Family programme and Chocolate Hour when chocolate treats and signature homemade sweets are offered in the hotel lobby. Guests staying here will have access to activities like kayaking, jet skiing and paragliding. From the hotel, guests will also have easy access to sites such as the ruins of Petra and Mtirala National Park.

Commenting on the plans, Lasha Silagadze, Director of Archi Hospitality, said: “Archi is the leading development company in Georgia. Besides residential complexes, during past years we are actively engaged in launching hotels under local and international brands in different cities and resorts of Georgia.”

“When we started working on the Kobuleti project, it became apparent that due to the scale and numerous advantages the hotel would offer, we needed to partner with a premium class brand. We are more than happy to have the opportunity to work with Accor, a world leading hospitality group, and combine our experience to deliver a high quality touristic destination.”

“We do believe that Mövenpick in Kobuleti will become one of the most popular destinations for Accor’s loyal customers, local residents, as well as international tourists.”
