Accor’s Ibis Styles brings another new property to the bustling metropolis of Bangkok
Accor’s design-led lifestyle brand Ibis Styles creates a new offering for guests visiting the Thai capital of Bangkok.
Ideal for families or individuals, this hotel brings Ibis Styles’ signature creative look and feel to another property in this chaotic but charming city. We find out more.
Thai dreams at Ibis Styles Bangkok Ratchada
Ibis Styles is French hotel giant Accor’s design-centric economy brand, so it is a perfect fit for the backpacker and budget traveller paradise of Bangkok.
A new property under the brand’s umbrella has just opened in the Ratchada neighbourhood of Bangkok, and as such is conveniently located close to several transport hubs and attractions, including Huai Khwang subway station, the Ratchada Train Night Market, the Street Ratchada retail complex and the Thailand Cultural Centre.
Patrick Basset, chief operating officer, Accor for Upper Southeast and Northeast Asia and the Maldives, spoke of the opening, saying, “A stylish yet economical hotel brand, Ibis Styles is designed to be a centre of unique design, theme and personality. With its excellent location along the city’s mass transit line, coupled with comfortable bedding, free Wi-Fi, and family suites, Ibis Styles Bangkok Ratchada is set to bring fun and comfort to business and leisure travellers in the neighbourhood.”
Local design flair and fun on offer
Known for its focus on all things design, the Ibis Styles Bangkok Ratchada doesn’t disappoint when it comes to some stylish flair.
The hotel boasts 266 rooms and suites, and the interior design is inspired by local artisanal practices, such as basket weaving.
Influences from all corners of the country can be seen in the details and touches which bring the hotel’s design to life, and patterns and motifs can be seen everywhere from the bathrooms to the dining areas.
Business travellers can avail of the generous conference and meeting facilities, where three meeting rooms and a 160-person ballroom can cater for a variety of corporate events.
Culinary offerings allow guests to sample local cuisine and traditional gastronomic fare, as well as international dishes, so there is something for everyone.
