New Curio Collection by Hilton hotel opens in Rhodes

Lindian Village Beach Resort Rhodes, Curio Collection by Hilton is now open in the picturesque town of Lindos on the Greek island of Rhodes.

Guests can expect luxurious bohemian-style rooms with views over the Aegean Sea and inviting public areas referencing the island’s natural beauty through their design.

Arrival on the island

Curio Collection by Hilton’s new Lindian Village Beach Resort Rhodes is now welcoming guests into its 188 spacious rooms and suites in which earthy tones and natural textures pair with luxury touches such as the suites’ private pools, verandas or Jacuzzis.

Taking inspiration from the nearby Butterfly Valley, the hotel’s design pays homage to “metamorphosis” and the vibrant pattern of the jersey tiger moth. Amenities at the property range from eight restaurants and bars to a spa, gym, tennis court and kids club. Guests can make the most of the resort’s freshwater pools and access to a private beach.

David Kelly, senior vice president, Continental Europe, Hilton, said: “Lindian Village Beach Resort Rhodes is a breath-taking addition to our growing Greek portfolio of Curio Collection by Hilton hotels, joining the recently opened Sea Breeze Santorini Beach Resort and The Royal Senses Resort & Spa Crete.”

“We are proud to be partnering with Zetland Capital and management company SWOT Hospitality in Greece, a key strategic growth market for Hilton, to introduce this stunning resort to our guests from around the world. Set on a private beach overlooking the glistening Aegean Sea, Lindian Village Beach Resort Rhodes is the perfect secluded destination for curious travellers looking to relax, unwind and enjoy the best of what the Greek island has to offer.”

Ahmed Hamdani, founder and chief investment officer, Zetland Capital, commented: “We are excited to bring about a new era for Lindian Village Beach Resort Rhodes, now introduced as part of Curio Collection by Hilton.”

“Following significant refurbishment, and carefully designed high-end services, we look forward to welcoming guests to this unique and impressive beachfront resort in the beautiful island of Rhodes. This project underpins our investment strategy to invest in well located hotels in prime Mediterranean destinations and work with strong partners, like Hilton and SWOT Hospitality.”

A lifestyle destination

During their stay, guests have eight dining concepts to experience, all of which have been designed by Apostolos Trastelis, who is the owner and founder of Michelin-starred Spondi restaurant and the gastro-consultant of many restaurants across Greece.

Alas Ouzeri focuses on traditional Rhodian recipes, while Era Ora Trattoria offers Italian cuisine, Niku serves Japanese dishes and Helios Pool Bar & Restaurant offers a menu of light bites. Estia Comfort Dining offers a breakfast buffet, as well as themed buffet dining concepts, and Dreams ‘n’ Creams serves gelato.

The resort’s wellness offering is centred around Calli Spa where treatments focus on the rejuvenating benefits of local herbs, essential oils and minerals. This spa is joined by a gym, tennis court and two freshwater swimming pools.

Time here can be spent taking part in experiences such as wine-tasting, a Greek cooking class, pottery or astronomy class, as well as sailing tours, private boat trips and guided tours to Lindos Castle, Rhodes Old Town and the Valley of Butterflies. A series of activities are also offered at Waves Kids Club and there’s a separate children’s pool.

Commenting on the opening, Stelios Koutsivitis, president and one of the main shareholders of SWOT Hospitality, managing company of the resort, said: “We are proud to contribute to the rebirth of Lindian Village Beach Resort Rhodes opening its doors as Curio Collection by Hilton.”

“Loyal to our vision to elevate the hospitality scene of Greece with top-class facilities and services through strong partnerships with international funds and established brands, we partnered with Zetland Capital and Hilton for the refurbishment and repositioning of this beautiful resort.”
