Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has opened a five-star resort on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
The hotel boasts 418 rooms, suites and chalets overlooking a 300-metre private beach, floating water park and an all-year-round kids club.
Family design
Thoughtfully designed for families, Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan offers spacious rooms equipped with sofa beds for extra comfort. Providing the complete island experience, the upscale accommodation also includes stylish beachfront chalets with their own private swimming pools and terraces.
Complete with six restaurants and bars, dining at the resort showcases a variety of cuisines that caters to all palates, including an international buffet at The Market, or beachside Mediterranean restaurant and bar Ula, an all-encompassing dynamic space inspired by the earth, sun and passion of the Arabian Gulf.
Sweets and sky views
Guests can also sample rich Californian flavours at the Beach House or head to Boons, a modern twist on a neighbourhood brasserie and bar. Sweet-toothed foodies can catch up at the boutique Möca Lobby Lounge.
Opening in September, Neo Sky Bar will be the island’s only rooftop lounge, where diners can enjoy flowing cocktails and sweeping views of Ras Al Khaimah’s skyline.
Fun and wellness
The resort houses a 200 sq m indoor Kids Zone, a specially constructed outdoor playground, a dedicated kids pool, and a Wibit floating water park. A wellness hub comprises four treatment rooms and a fully equipped gym.
For social gatherings, the resort’s modern and flexible event spaces include two large meeting rooms catering for up to 300 delegates, alongside a break-out room hosting interactive activities such as table tennis and a pool table. A 530 sq m pillar-free ballroom bathed in natural light is also available.
Commenting on the launch, general manager Fabien Chesnais said: “We are thrilled to be opening the doors to Ras Al Khaimah’s first Mövenpick Resort in the region. The much-awaited Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island offers an unbeatable beachfront location and unique offerings, including an exceptional kids’ program and a floating water park, in addition to a variety of dining options and an incredible private beach.”
