Modernity abounds for Mercure in Surabaya

Accor is celebrating the opening of a newbuild Mercure-branded property showcasing a contemporary design aesthetic in one of Indonesia’s largest cities.

The chic Mercure Surabaya Manyar boasts 92 guestrooms and suites in total.

Mercure makes its mark in Surabaya

Mercure’s new hotel is located in a prestigious neighbourhood of Surabaya and benefits from close links to many of the Indonesian city’s highlights, including the Galaxy Mall, the Surabaya Institute of Technology, conference centres and celebrated eateries. The launch represents another step in Accor’s strategy to expand the brand’s footprint in South-East Asia.

“With Mercure Surabaya Manyar, we proudly introduce our 28th Mercure-branded property in Indonesia,” said Garth Simmons, CEO of Accor for Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea. “The opening of the hotel is a great addition to support Surabaya’s infrastructure, offering the strength of an international network, whilst delivering a genuine and locally inspired hospitality concept.”

Class and convenience

Guests can expect to find everything that Mercure prides itself on delivering in the midscale market, accompanied by in-room artworks depicting the development of Surabaya down the years and a classy modern ambience. The hotel’s 92 guestrooms and suites include the Executive Duplex Suite spread over two floors, with a separate living area for added comfort.

Travellers can also avail themselves of the onsite gym, all-day dining restaurant Paparisa, boardroom and welcoming social space in the form of a lobby bar.
