Following the rebranding of an existing property, Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam is set to open in the second quarter of this year.

The 163-key property will provide a contemporary canal-side retreat, drawing on Dutch history and art, for both business and leisure travellers.

A culturally rich location

The global hospitality group operating over 540 hotels across 56 countries, Minor Hotels, is debuting its Avani Hotels & Resorts brand in the Netherlands with the upcoming opening of this hotel, set apart by its sleek glass facade and playful interiors, in Amsterdam’s culturally rich Museum Quarter.

By staying at Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam, guests will have easy access to major sites such as the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. The hotel will reflect its surroundings with design that blends avant-garde aesthetics with rationalist architecture as it draws inspiration from the Stedelijk Museum.

Mr. Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International and CEO of Minor Hotels, commented: “Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam marks a significant milestone for Minor Hotels, reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences across the globe. With this upcoming opening, Avani guests will be able to immerse themselves in the art-led design of our newest gem in the Netherlands.”

A new urban retreat

The hotel will house 163 modern rooms and suites, all with 60s-inspired furniture and some also featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, across seven floors. Amenities within this accommodation will range from coffee machine, yoga mats and Bluetooth speakers to power showers and garment steamers.

Guests will be able to make the most of healthy 24/7 dining options and the around-the-clock AvaniFit gym, as well as the nearby Vondelpark’s jogging tracks. The ground-floor lobby lounge will share a space with Avani’s grab-and-go dining concept, The Pantry, offering breakfast favourites and wellness options.

During a stay, business travellers can make use of the hotel’s boardroom, with the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre also just a short tram ride away, and both the PC Hooftstraat shopping district and De Pijp neighbourhood are within a short walk. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from Amsterdam Central Station.
