Minor Hotels reveals significant expansion plans for the Avani brand

Rebranded 101-key Avani Alonso Martínez Madrid Hotel in Spain will launch in June.
The major hotel owner, operator and investor, Minor Hotels, has announced plans for the strategic expansion of its Avani Hotels & Resorts brand in Europe and Latin America.

Avani properties will make their debut in seven new locations by mid 2024, from Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Germany in Europe to Mexico and Colombia in Latin America.

A growing brand presence

An expanding collection within Minor Hotels’ portfolio, Avani Hotels & Resorts is a lifestyle brand that’s aimed at millennial-minded travellers. These properties are designed with a focus on prioritising service, style and value. Each Avani hotel is defined by its functional design and unique service offering.

As part of this brand’s strategic expansion, Avani will welcome five hotels across Europe and Latin America over the next couple of years.

Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels, commented: “Avani is now a well-established brand in Asia, Africa and the Middle East and known for its great value proposition, its design philosophy and unique service offering.”

“The work of recent years has prepared us to commit strategically to the expansion of Avani’s footprint into new regions of operation and marks a significant milestone for Minor Hotels.”

Forthcoming Avani openings

This expansion will first see the June launch of the rebranded 101-key Avani Alonso Martínez Madrid Hotel in Spain. In Italy, the brand will also launch the 65-key Avani Palazzo Moscova Milan Hotel in June, followed by the 144-room Avani Rio Novo Venice Hotel this summer.

The rebranded 256-room Avani Frankfurt City Hotel is set to open later in the year and Avani will enter the Netherlands in 2024 with the launch of the 163-key rebranded Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam Hotel.

In Latin America, the brand will mark the launch of the 140-key Avani Cancun Airport Hotel in Mexico in the third quarter of this year. This will be followed towards the end of the year by the launch of the 66-room Avani Royal Zona T Bogota Hotel in Colombia.

Avani Hotels & Resorts currently has 38 properties across 20 countries in its growing portfolio.
