Middle East’s first La Quinta by Wyndham set to open

One of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ most prolific brands is making its debut in the Middle East with the launch of La Quinta by Wyndham Dubai Bur Dubai this month.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is bringing La Quinta by Wyndham to Dubai for the very first time. Moreover, this March 2021 opening also marks the upper-midscale brand’s first foray into the Middle East.
Introducing La Quinta to Dubai
The newly refurbished 100-room La Quinta by Wyndham Dubai Bur Dubai is situated in the historic Bur Dubai district, a key commercial hub close to major business destinations like the Dubai World Trade Centre and the city’s financial district. Guests will be able to easily access a range of leisure attractions, including the Dubai Cruise Terminal at Port Rashid, The Dubai Mall and Jumeirah Mosque.
Onsite, visitors will find contemporary guestrooms and elegant interiors inspired by the city. The property will also offer a 100 sq m event and meeting space and various additional amenities, such as an outdoor pool with a deck, a spacious spa with a sauna and steam room, and a modern fitness centre.
Meanwhile, an all-day-dining restaurant, an Indian speciality venue, a lounge and a coffee shop will serve up delicious food and drink.
La Quinta’s growth trajectory
Since Wyndham bought La Quinta in 2018, the global hotel franchising company has invested in steadily growing the brand. This new property marks the brand’s 75th opening since the acquisition.
Today, La Quinta boasts almost 940 hotels around the world, with a presence in nine countries: the US, Canada, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Honduras, New Zealand, Turkey and now the UAE. Its future plans also include a raft of openings in the Dominican Republic.
Dimitris Manikis, president of Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa (EMEA), Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are on a strong growth trajectory for La Quinta by Wyndham, and this latest addition further highlights our commitment to expand the brand in EMEA and around the world.
“Dubai is one of the most sought-out destinations for travellers from all corners of the globe, making it the ideal location to launch La Quinta in the market. This property perfectly complements our portfolio of over 60 hotels in the Middle East and Africa and we look forward to continuing to grow our robust pipeline in the region.”
