Accor has signed a new hotel in New York as the flagship for its MGallery brand, as the group takes another strategic step forward in the USA.
The 222 room Ink 48 hotel, on Manhattan’s West Side, is the destination from which Accor will build MGallery across the States. The landmark lifestyle hotel offers great views across the Manhattan skyline, and across the waterfront, making it a popular place to stay, and to hold meetings and events. The property will join an existing MGallery hotel on the West Coast, in Seattle, building a presence in what is one of MGallery’s top five feeder markets globally.
A Stylish Conversion
The hotel is owned by Capstone Equities, a private equity investor local to the city. Now, signing an affiliation with the MGallery Collection, the owners can expect to benefit from a greater international profile for the property. The hotel will officially relaunch in 2028 as part of the collection, following a rolling refurbishment to ensure it aligns with the MGallery brand.
In Europe, meanwhile, MGallery continues to seek new properties. The brand has just opened Nírema Hotel & Spa Samos on the Greek island of Samos. A contemporary Mediterranean retreat, the intimate 72 room property sits alongside the island’s wine museum, and includes its own private beach. MGallery already has Greek hotels Athens and on the island of Crete, and recently added the Athens Capital Suites to its offering.
Other upcoming Greek properties for the brand include MGallery Rhodes, a new build resort planned for opening by mid 2027. The property will have 222 rooms, suites and bungalows, with views across the Aegean Sea. And on the mainland, MGallery Collection Marousi Voria is in development, a 170 room urban wellness retreat aiming for a launch in 2028.
In Asia, the brand is growing too. Financial City Chengdu – MGallery Collection recently opened, a 155 room benefitting from design styling from Stark Studio. This is the third MGallery hotel in Chengdu, which has become a hub for the brand in China, and is the tenth hotel open for the brand in China as a whole.
Growth in Thailand and Japan
Another expansion hub for MGallery is Phuket, in Thailand. There, the MontAzure Resort Phuket MGallery Collection recently opened, a 227 room sanctuary surrounded by nature. It will shortly be joined by Navera Phuket – MGallery Collection, launching in late 2026 and providing villa style accommodation across the hills.
During 2027, the brand will also take major steps forward in Japan, with two openings. Lime Resort Myoko will open within Myoko-Togakushi Renzan National Park, a refurbished 38 room resort at is being rebranded. And in the ski region of Ilyama, another refurbishment and rebranding is under way, transforming the Madarao Kogen Hotel to MGallery standards. The 80 room luxury hotel will be the ideal destination for winter sports enthusiasts seeking new adventures.
