The group aims to make ME Lisbon a destination in itself, with highlights of the hotel including the brand’s hallmark Radio Rooftop Bar.
Design that draws on the locale
On opening in 2024, ME Lisbon will add to a growing collection of luxury lifestyle hotels pairing bold design with innovative dining and wellness concepts and a focus on the contemporary culture of the locale.
Now under construction, this forthcoming property owned by the Discovery Portugal Real Estate Fund will stand out first for its striking interiors and architectural design, along with the work of local artists.
Portuguese architect João Paciência has designed a site featuring a semi-transparent glass façade and integrating the most efficient and sustainable technology to minimise its environmental footprint.
Broadway Malyan studio is then behind the design of interiors taking inspiration from the city in unexpected ways. A creative community of local influencers and artists will bring further inspiration and energy to the property.
Designed for the modern traveller
The 213-room property will offer all the amenities and service catering to the modern traveller. The hotel will be home to international dining options and one of the brand’s most popular hallmarks, the panoramic Radio Rooftop Bar.
Other amenities within the hotel are to include a fitness centre, spa and health club. Wellness facilities here will span an indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath and massage cabins. Events will also be catered for with 11 flexible and adaptable event rooms.
ME Lisbon will provide a new place to stay on the corner of Antonio Augusto de Aguiar and Fontes Pereira de Melo by Eduardo VII Park and Marquês de Pombal Square. This location places guests within easy reach of the historic centre.
