Spain’s largest hotel group, Meliá Hotels International, has entered the Netherlands with the opening of the 328-room Innside Amsterdam.

This exciting property, which is aimed at both business and leisure travellers, marks a key moment for the Innside by Meliá brand.

An impressive hotel opening

The newly opened Innside Amsterdam is located in the city’s Zuidas district, a hub for finance, tech and creativity. Boasting 328 keys, the scheme is distinguished by its contemporary design incorporating smart and sustainable touches, alongside standout features like a sky bar and restaurant.

The hotel is conveniently located just moments from the subway, which connects guests with the city centre in 15 minutes and transports passengers to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in ten minutes.

From the front door, guests can explore Amsterdam by bicycle, making use of the property’s 24-hour rental service, to appreciate just why this city with over 500km of cycle lanes is often voted one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world.

Getting the work-life balance right

This hotel will follow the Innside by Meliá ‘Stay Curious’ philosophy to provide guests with a home away from home and a good work-life balance.

Guests can expect multiple restaurant concepts, including the 19th floor’s skybar and restaurant, offering signature cocktails and Spanish cuisine. Travellers can also dine at lobby bar and restaurant La Tierra, which serves up all-day coffees and takeaway sandwiches, as well as three-course lunches and dinners.

Business amenities within the scheme range from two meeting rooms and a Big Idea Space to use of the neighbouring co-working space Atrium Amsterdam.

The hotel is part of the 2Amsterdam redevelopment project by architect KCAP, which involves the sustainable redevelopment of two 1980s office towers. Innside Amsterdam occupies the western tower, while the eastern tower will contain offices, and a semi-public garden is located between the two.

Innside by Meliá now has properties in 28 locations across ten countries. Another 14 properties are in the pipeline, including Innside Liverpool, Innside Newcastle and Innside Lisbon.
