Marriott International is partnering with Sunwing Travel Group to debut the Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun.

The Autograph Collection resort is expected to open at the end of 2022, adding to the group’s growing all-inclusive portfolio.

The all-inclusive experience

On opening later this year, the 1,049-key Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun will become a part of the All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio currently comprising almost 30 properties across eight locations in the Caribbean and Latin America. The resort is owned and managed by Blue Diamond Resorts.

“We are thrilled to continue working with Blue Diamond Resorts to add another exciting all-inclusive resort to the All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio,” said Laurent de Kousemaeker, chief development officer in the Caribbean and Latin America for Marriott International.

“The Autograph Collection Hotels brand champions individuality with each hotel being a product of passion, making this brand an exceptional fit for this significant project and the other 20 Blue Diamond Resorts that have joined the collection.”

A new lifestyle destination

The all-inclusive resort also encompassing a waterpark will offer guests a range of experiences across facilities expected to include a theatre, bowling alley, water attractions and a number of immersive culinary encounters across 12 restaurants and nine bars.

“We are excited for Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun to join Marriott’s Autograph Collection brand,” said Jordi Pelfort, president of Hotels and Resorts for Sunwing Travel Group. “Today’s announcement reinforces Blue Diamond’s position as one of the fastest growing hotel chains in the Caribbean.”

The All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy collection is designed to refine and elevate the all-inclusive sector with properties spanning several of Marriott International’s brands. Last year, the group announced the start of a long-term agreement with Sunwing Travel Group’s hotel division, Blue Diamond Resorts, with plans to add 20 hotels to its portfolio through the partnership.
