Radisson Collection signs second Riyadh hotel

Radisson Hotel Group’s soft brand Radisson Collection Hotel and Residences has signed its second property in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh.

The signing, the Mansard Riyadh, is right in the heart of the city on Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Road and has convenient access to both the airport and the city’s new metro system, which connects it with the financial centre.

This new project will be the group’s 43rd property in Saudi Arabia and fits into an expansion plan which includes a development pipeline of around 10,000 rooms in the region.

Elie Younes, Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer, Radisson Hotel Group, spoke of the signing, saying, “The addition of The Mansard Riyadh, A Radisson Collection Hotel & Residences marks the arrival of our ninth hotel in Riyadh and the city’s second Radisson Collection – a new generation of unique and exceptional properties.”

“This new partnership with Sheikh Saleh Abdulaziz Al Remaizan marks an exciting milestone. Over 60% of our owners have more than one hotel with us and we welcome more opportunities with Sheikh Al Remaizan. We look forward to an exciting and rewarding journey,” Mr Younes went on to say.

Mansard mixes European luxury with Middle Eastern hospitality

This impressive new property boasts 140 rooms and suites, as well as 27 serviced apartments and 24 villas. It is designed in a European style with the Parisien-esque mansard roof giving it its name.

The hotel’s website reads, “Classic European architecture is combined with renowned Arabian hospitality – the best of both worlds – to create an atmosphere unlike any other. The majestic buildings stretch in a line, like a parade amidst the city.”

Mansard Riyadh flanks the main Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Road and the ground floor is activated with retail units and dining options which include an Arabic Grill with locally inspired dishes, an Italian restaurant and pastry shop, a French brasserie and a cigar lounge.

The hotel also has ample conference and meeting facilities as well as a state-of-the-art spa, sports and wellness centre.

Sheikh Saleh Abdulaziz Al Remaizan said, “We are delighted to partner with Radisson Hotel Group on this most exciting endeavour. Exceptional service in an elegant setting will be the hallmark of The Mansard Riyadh, A Radisson Collection Hotel & Residences.”
