Holiday home rental company Le Collectionist has acquired luxury villa operator, The Greek Villas.

Le Collectionist is pursuing its developments with acquisitions in new markets and a strengthening of its offering in the destinations it already operates.

Natural synergy

Founded in 2012, The Greek Villas portfolio consists of over 500 villas across 34 Greek Islands and destinations, with a strong presence in the Cyclades and Ionian. The exclusive villas combine five-star hotel quality with the comforts and familiarities of home.

Le Collectionist launched in 2013, selecting rental homes around the world. The villa operator offers guests experiences tested by its team and has members in each destination available to assist with requests.

Both companies believe they have a natural synergy and the partnership was born out of a connection between both brands which hold similar shared values and vision. The Greek Villas is intended to bolster Le Collectionist’s portfolio, providing a specialist offering in Greece.

Acquisitive strategy

Vasilis Pandis, co-founder and MD of The Greek Villas commented: “We are thrilled to be working with Le Collectionist and to be recognised as the leading villa specialist in Greece when it comes to offering unforgettable and unique holiday experiences for our valued guests. We are excited to see what the future brings and to elevate our offering with more and more breathtaking properties, continuing to provide an exceptional, specialist and bespoke service to all our guests.”

The acquisition is part of Le Collectionist’s long-term strategy to grow the brand through acquisitions in new markets, and to consolidate its leadership in existing destinations. The Greek Villas continues to expand its offering across Greece, with new properties continuously being added to its collection and set to launch in 2023.
