Luxury Furniture Designed to Endure the Elements

In the vast ocean, at the bottom of the world, lies the Land of the Long White Cloud — Aotearoa, New Zealand. This island of breath-taking natural beauty, shaped by extreme and ever-changing weather conditions, is the birthplace of DEVON outdoor design.

Since 1976, DEVON has been inspiring generations to embrace the outdoors, in style — by crafting furniture that reflects Aotearoa’s beauty and endures her elements.

DEVON’s Opito Collection is just one example. Inspired by an idyllic bay that curves around a pristine slice of the Coromandel Peninsula, the Opito furniture is made for long sunny days on the coast. Crafted from finely sanded teak with elegant, rounded legs and edges, there’s a solid softness to the design profile. Natural teak and woven rope are an ode to the sandy dunes and tussock grasses that line the coast. The Opito dining chairs are woven from outdoor marine-grade rope to form a comfortable resting spot in the great outdoors.

When the sun sinks down over the ocean, stoke up the fire and sink into the outdoor lounge. The fabric colour reflects the calming hue of the sky ocean, while the plush cushions, crafted with Quick Dry foam, have all luxurious softness of an indoor sofa, but built for the outdoors.

Today, after 47 trips around the sun, DEVON furniture still lives on. Because while seasons and trends change, the one thing that remains the same is our deeply rooted passion for the outdoors, timeless design, and quality construction. It is in our DNA.
