A manufacturer that has changed the experience in a bathroom environment thanks to the use of patented technology, high quality standards and a continuous study that provides customers with systems that improve water efficiency and accessibility for people with reduced mobility.
The design of this flush plate is the work of the architect Alessio Pinto. An Italian professional who was inspired by the principle of the master Mies Van Der Rohe ‘less is more’ from the water discharge to the minimalism and material of the product. A premise that the famous architect applied in his architecture and established a school of thought.
This mechanically controlled flush plate was developed for in-wall cisterns. A piece made of stainless steel and nylon cables that end with traditional flush activation buttons. Two elements reminiscent of the first sanitary mechanisms in history.
The nylon cables, one shorter and the other longer, “take on the function of analogue signals to induce a clear and immediate action”. We believe that this instant understanding makes this board unique and empathetic,” says Alessio Pinto.
Likewise, this flush plate follows the sustainability standards that characterise the company. This is certified by ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards that are attributed to environmental management and occupational safety. Therefore, one of the pillars of the company is to ensure the well-being of the customers who will use them.
With a simple and functional design this flush plate is available in four finishes: matt black, matt white, brushed and polished. Four products with mechanical operation, front application and 2mm thickness.
“Less is More” wins Red dot Award
The synergy between designer Alessio Pinto and the bathroom solutions manufacturer has been recognised by different competitions and entities in the product design category.
Red Dot Award 2021, Archiproducts Design Award and iD Design Award were some of the awards won by Less is More, which were based on idea, form, function, differentiation and impact.
OLI, the largest producer of flushing cisterns in Southern Europe, is present in over 80 countries and develops versatile and sustainable solutions that seek a balance between aesthetics, functionality and innovation.
The Portuguese manufacturer’s sanitary systems follow strict aesthetic, functional and sustainable standards. Parameters which make them versatile bathroom elements applicable to all types of projects.
The range of OLI products is varied, but they all have one thing in common: the well-being of the customers who will use them.
