The spectacular new Hilton Manila

The grandeur of Hilton’s newest offering in Manila is nothing short of spectacular and reasserts Hilton’s presence in the country.

Hilton first landed in the Philippines in the 1960s with a property on United Nations Avenue.

This time, the new Hilton Manila provides convenient access to the city’s international airport and forms part of the Resorts World Manila complex.

We take a look inside.

Decorative opulence at Hilton Manila

Hilton’s newest property in Manila dazzles guests as soon as they walk through the door.

Only recently opened to the public, the Hilton Manila boasts a sparkling array of surfaces, textures and lighting, which combined result in a feast for the eyes.

Externally, the viewer’s eye is drawn to the geometric bulk of the hotel, whose volume is broken up into three sections.

The upper section houses the hotel rooms, which can be read individually by the fenestration.

The middle section features double-height glazing around the raised walkway which connects to Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 3.

Finally, the ground level provides a drop-off and entry point for guests.

The hotel’s piece de resistance might well be the crystal-encrusted ceiling in the decadent ballroom or the intricate light fixtures which complement the marble tables and bespoke ironwork screens in the Hua Ting restaurant.

Distinctive character in the Resorts World Manila complex

The Hilton Manila is just one of the hotels located in the Resorts World Manila complex, which is adjacent to Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

The Hilton bears the distinction of being connected to the airport via the Runway Manila skybridge, immediately setting it apart from the other hotels in the complex.

Another of Hilton’s defining characteristics is its focus on all things culinary.

General manager Simon McGrath says, “Food and beverage is an integral part of what Hilton is known for, and we bring three amazing restaurants to you. First is Kusina. It is the all-day dining interactive buffet restaurant that embraces the element of Filipino cuisine culture by providing the upmarket dampa-style service.”

“On the second level, we have Hua Ting, our Shanghainese Chinese restaurant. Shanghainese is Chinese-style but surely resonates with the Filipino palate. Downstairs we have the Madison Bar, an inviting café during the daytime which transforms into a very chic, cosmopolitan lounge bar in the evening with some cocktails and food offerings,” McGrath goes on to explain

Hilton presses forward with more ethical practices in 2019

This latest Hilton property also provides the group with an opportunity to cement some of their ethical practices in this part of the world.

Given that the Philippines is one of the top three plastic manufacturing countries in the world, Hilton is committed to eliminating plastic straws and cutting down on plastic use in this hotel.

The company is also on its employees and aims to ensure Hilton staff are content and the hotel builds a reputation as a desirable place to work in Manila.
